DEFINITION OF CLASP

In jewellery, the clasp is an accessory usually composed of gold, silver or platinum metal. It plays the important role in securing the jewel.

PRESENTATION OF PearlAndGold CLASPS

When you buy a bracelet, a necklace you can at PearlAndGold choose between different models of clasps. There are several shapes such as the "almond," "round" or twisted or cylindrical format in 14 or 18 carat white or yellow gold, all our clasps are equipped with a security system preventing you from accidentally dropping your jewel during any opening. The function of this one is to protect the beads when you handle them.

The clasps are equipped with a main part and on the other hand a "V"-shaped fastener. During any opening, the V-rod allows you to hold the clasp attachment by sliding it so you can detach it and open the jewel.

OPENING AND CLOSING THE CLASPS

The opening is done in 2 steps: Press the two edges of the "V" fastener with your thumb and index finger and then gently remove it from its fastener.

Closing is also done in 2 steps: Insert the "V" fastener into the clasp. Then once the rod is inserted and in position, while pressing with the thumb and index finger push it towards the inside of the clasp until it closes completely and hear a click that will confirm the correct closure.
